Presentation Convent, Portlaoise

This project consists of 52 residential units, associated communal and ancillary spaces. The site comprises of 6 buildings, 3 of which are protected structures.

Works include

• All associated site development
• Public Realm works including new public park and pedestrian connections.
• Works are between 1 and 3 stories in height and include deep retrofit.
• Works also include conservation works to historic structures.

This project has been done in 2 phases.

Phase 1 – Completed 01/04/2025

Phase 1 consisted of the new construction of 5 no. 1-bedroom apartments, and 4 no. 2-bedroom townhouses. Along with all associated site development works and pedestrian connections.

Phase 2: Expected completion October 2025

Phase 2 consists of:

• Existing 3 storey Convent Building transformed into 4 no. 1-bedroom apartments, 6 no. 2-bedroom apartments and a community space, totalling a space of 785 sq. meters & 73.65 Sq. meters respectively.
• Existing 2 story School Building transformed into 4 no. 1-bedroom apartments and a community space, totalling a space of 219.52 Sq. meters and 334.66 Sq. meters respectively.
• 2 new buildings, one consisting of 5 no. 2-bedroom apartments over a 2 and 3 story split block, and the other consisting of 5 no. 1-bedroom apartments, 18 no. 2-bedroom apartments and a community space over a 2 and 3 storey split block.
