Co-founder Mary Daly, with a twenty-year tenure in construction and development, has been integral to Bretland’s prosperity. Instrumental in shaping the company’s administrative department, Mary’s commitment extends beyond the daily operations to the well-being of her staff, ensuring excellence in contracts, payroll, pensions, and associated benefits.

Coleman Yates, Deputy Managing Director of Bretland, is a distinguished figure in the construction industry. With over 30 years of experience across four continents, he has significantly influenced healthcare, retail, and housing sectors with his innovative leadership. His role in managing complex projects and fostering business growth in diverse environments is noteworthy.

At Bretland, Coleman is a strategist, driving the company’s expansion in Ireland and Europe. His commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability has established Bretland as a key player in the construction market. His skills in financial planning, project execution, and customer service have consistently resulted in successful project completions.

Nigel’s tenure as the Construction Director at Bretland is marked by his distinguished capability to spearhead and successfully execute an array of intricate, demanding, and accolade-winning projects within diverse segments of the Irish Construction Industry. His expertise is grounded in his engineering background, which is further augmented by his recent academic achievements—a Diploma in Strategy and Innovation and an ongoing pursuit of a Masters in Business.

His fervour for the construction field is evident in his dynamic leadership history, having assumed pivotal roles such as Regional Director and CEO at several of Ireland’s premier construction firms. Nigel’s influence at Bretland is pivotal; he plays a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s strategic vision while being a driving force in business development efforts.

Nigel’s exceptional strength lies in his ability to cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with both new and long-standing clients. He achieves this by deeply understanding and aligning with client needs from the initial stages, ensuring tailored and successful project outcomes. His comprehensive approach to client engagement not only fosters trust but also cements Bretland’s position as a leader in the construction sector.

Tony Meehan, a BSc (Surveying) graduate from Trinity College Dublin, brings three decades of construction experience to his role as Commercial Director. His expertise spans various contracts and ensures that client budgets are prioritised without compromising quality or timelines. Tony’s extensive experience with Tier 1 contractors in Ireland and the UK equips him to lead Bretland’s commercial department effectively.

Maurice Austin is a luminary in contract management with three decades of robust experience. Joining Bretland in 2010, he quickly rose from Contracts Manager to Contracts Director, driving sustainable growth and delivering projects for prestigious clients. His tenure with a Tier 1 contractor honed his expertise across civil and building projects in diverse sectors, including residential, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and commercial. His sterling track record in project and contract management is marked by his dedication to excellence and his strategic contributions to Bretland’s business development.

Anne Marie McCormack, an alumna of Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management and Engineering Technologies, is the Operations Director at Bretland. Her ten-plus years in construction, including a stint in the USA, have culminated in her overseeing Bretland’s ISO Management Systems encompassing quality, occupational health & safety, and environmental standards. Anne Marie continues to leverage her extensive experience to enhance operational excellence within the company.

Ruth Heeney, the Finance Director, stands as the guardian of Bretland’s financial integrity. Her credentials as a Chartered Accountant and Auditor, coupled with her extensive accountancy experience across varied industries, underscore her expertise in financial management, governance, risk management, and compliance. Ruth’s educational background from TUS Athlone and UCD Dublin, along with her array of qualifications, fortify her role in steering the company’s financial strategy while supporting human resources.

Damien Walsh, joining Bretland with a Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering and membership in MIEI, brings over 28 years of construction expertise. His track record spans various sectors including healthcare, educational, residential, and commercial. Damien’s hands-on management and motivational skills not only inspire project teams but also ensure the delivery of quality projects that meet Bretland’s exacting standards.

As Head of SHEQ, Darren Bourke enforces Bretland’s certified ISO management systems with his 29 years of industry experience.

An acclaimed figure, Darren has led numerous award-winning health and safety initiatives and was honoured as the Irish Health & Safety Manager of the Year in 2022. His commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards is paramount in maintaining Bretland’s reputation for excellence.
