Case Study: Raheens, Clara

The Willow Drive residential development delivered 38 high-quality, energy-efficient homes for Offaly County Council, including a mix of bungalows, terraced houses, and semi-detached units. Completed in October 2024, the project achieved A2 BER ratings across all homes, surpassing the original A3 target. Bretland implemented extensive value engineering—optimising foundations, using GPS-guided machinery, and introducing efficient construction methods—to reduce costs and accelerate programme delivery.

The project achieved zero safety, environmental, or lost-time incidents, supported by digital EHS systems and robust safety management. Sustainability was prioritised through responsible material selection, waste reduction, and enhanced airtightness. Community impact was strengthened through improved connectivity, accessibility-driven design, and a smooth tenant handover just two days after substantial completion. Willow Drive now provides long-term social, environmental, and economic value for nearly forty families in Clara.
