Bretland Construction Appointed Main Contractor for New Social Housing Development in Celbridge

Bretland Construction Ltd. is pleased to announce the signing of a contract with Kildare County Council for the delivery of the Pausdeen Place Housing Project, located on Ardclough Road, Newtown, Celbridge, Co. Kildare.

Under the contract, Bretland Construction has been appointed as Main Contractor and Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) for the development, which will provide 39 new social housing units along with significant supporting infrastructure works for the local community.

The scheme has been designed by Vincent Hannon Architects, who will lead the construction stage design team. The wider project team includes Tobins Consulting Engineers (Civil & Structural Engineering and PSDP), Delap & Waller (Mechanical, Electrical & BER), Tom McNamara and Partners (Quantity Surveyors), and Cunnane Stratton Reynolds (Landscape Architects).

In addition to the new homes, the project includes enabling infrastructure works at Pausdeen Bridge and the construction of a new pedestrian crossing on Ardclough Road, enhancing accessibility and connectivity within the area.

Speaking at the contract signing, the Cathaoirleach of the County of Kildare, Councillor Carmel Kelly, said:

This is a very welcome step forward for Celbridge and County Kildare. Pausdeen Place will provide much-needed homes in a strong and well-established community, and it demonstrates the importance of continued investment in housing and local infrastructure to support the needs of our growing county.”
