Role and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Setting out, levelling, and surveying the site in accordance with project requirements.
- Assist in the management of site activities to ensure works are progressing to programme.
- Ensure all company health and safety procedures are followed and promote a safe working environment.
- Check, understand, and interpret drawings and specifications, and communicate any discrepancies to the Senior Site Engineer / Project Manager.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and information.
- Supervise and monitor the quality of workmanship and materials, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Record and maintain detailed site diaries, as-built information, and daily progress reports.
- Support the project team with logistical planning, temporary works, and site management tasks as required.
- Assist in maintaining cost effectiveness through efficient use of resources and careful planning.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, design intent, and good construction practice.
- Work collaboratively with the wider site team to meet project goals and construction milestones.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Engineering or construction qualification with 1–3 years’ experience in a site engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building details, and surveying techniques.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Proficient IT skills, including Word, Excel, and MS Project.
- Experience using digital construction platforms (e.g., Procore) beneficial.
