Role and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support all engineering activities on site to ensure works are delivered to programme and quality standards.
- Setting out, surveying, and quality assurance processes, ensuring accurate execution of works.
- Ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
- Check and interpret all design documentation and ensure any errors or omissions are communicated to the design team promptly.
- Prepare, review, and manage RFI’s, method statements, inspection requests, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate timely flow of information between design team, subcontractors, and site management.
- Monitor workmanship and materials, identifying quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining the construction programme.
- Ensure compliance with approved designs.
- Contribute to cost management by ensuring efficient resource use and identifying potential value engineering opportunities.
- Ensure full compliance with company health & safety procedures and statutory regulations.
- Prepare accurate site records including daily reports, as-built information, quality checklists, and progress updates.
- Assisting with environmental compliance measures.
- Understanding of peat stability and ground conditions.
- Monitoring settlement and drainage measures.
- Implementing environmental controls to prevent peat slippage and contamination.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Engineering or construction qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, surveying, and building technology.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities with proven experience meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, and digital construction tools.
- Procore experience desirable.
