Site Engineer

Location: Dublin/Kildare

Experience: 4-5 Years in Residential or Commercial

This candidate preferably needs

Site Execution & Supervision

• Oversee day-to-day site activities to ensure work is carried out as per drawings and specifications
• Supervise subcontractors, labour, and trades on site
• Ensure construction work is completed on time and within scope

Setting Out & Technical Work

• Perform setting out (levels, alignment, layout) using appropriate equipment
• Interpret and work from architectural and structural drawings
• Ensure accuracy of measurements and site markings

Quality Control

• Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with project quality standards
• Conduct inspections and checks on materials and completed work
• Identify and resolve technical issues on site

Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with site health and safety regulations
• Conduct toolbox talks and promote safe working practices
• Report hazards, incidents, and near misses

Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with project managers, consultants, architects, and subcontractors
• Coordinate between different trades to avoid delays and conflicts
• Attend site meetings and provide technical input

Materials & Resources

• Monitor material usage and ensure proper storage on site
• Coordinate material deliveries and check quantities/quality
• Assist in procurement planning

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site records, progress reports, and site diaries
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments (RAMS)
• Track progress against programme and report delays

Problem Solving

• Resolve on-site technical and construction issues efficiently
• Suggest practical solutions to improve productivity and quality

Programme & Progress

• Assist in planning and scheduling of works
• Ensure activities are aligned with project timelines
• Support achieving project milestone
